In-Person/ Studio Sessions

What to expect

Intro Sessions

Intro Sessions

Intro Sessions

Every new client, duo, or group gets a one-time Intro-priced session

to go over any issues or concerns there may be, as well as a short movement analysis to establish current levels of strength, flexibility,

and range of motion. The consultation lays the groundwork to

customize lessons to reach your fitness goals faster, with any

conditions or issues being addressed, and allows me to

fully  tailor the workouts to your specific needs.

During

Intro Sessions

Intro Sessions

Each session moves the body in all directions to support a healthy spine, hitting all major muscle groups, and providing extra care with conditions or issues as needed. The Pilate Principles will be incorporated in

each session, with a focus on breath connection to help

build bodily awareness from the inside-out.

Props and Equipment

Props are a great way to add in a little "extra" to each session and can be a wonderful way to help the body better understand what muscles should be firing in any given exercise, building the mind/body connection that can take your practice to the next level. Any personal Pilates equipment is also able to be incorporated into your sessions for even more challenge.

PBC includes free bi-weekly "homework" videos that keep the learning going! These videos can be utilized anytime you want, for as long as you are a member, and are a great way to continue your Pilates education on the days we don't meet.

Set Up Guide

Your Space

Find a quiet place in your home where you will be undisturbed by children, pets, or housemates and make sure you have good lighting and enough space around you to move comfortably.

Grab a mat. A Pilates mat is ideal as its extra thickness protects the spine but a yoga mat will also work.

Feel free to have music ready to go as we work, if you choose. A good beat can help keep you motivated and inspired!

Your Body

Wear something comfortable that fits your body closely and is easy to move in. Clothing that skims your body makes it easier for me to correct your movement and alignment.

Your Props/Equipment

PBC includes several props each we meet, but if you have extra or personal props you'd prefer to use, please have them set and ready at the beginning of each session.

If you have Pilates equipment such a Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda or EXO Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, or Springboard, they can easily be incorporated into your sessions.
